Part 1
Vashisht and shashi were childhood buddies….they shared everything from comic books to chocolates to tales of secret crushes. Shashi even borrowed Vashisht’s clothes …she cut through his jeans to make a stylised boyfriend jeans version for herself and cut off his t shirt from the midriff to make herself a tank top. Vashisht was used to eating lunch and breakfast at shashi’s place…he loved the steaming hot idli’s and appams that her mom made which was so different from the typical bhajia puri made at his place. Vashisht and shashi were so frequently seen with each other that rumours started floating about the nature of their relationship when they grew a little older. It come to a point where shashi’s mom asked her about her future marriage plans with vashisht and vashisht’s mom asked him to seek shashi’s opinion when it came to choosing a colour for his new bedroom. “No way…stop saying weird things ma” was the uniform response given by the two youngsters…”we are friends not lovers and prefer to keep it that way”. By the time the duo reached college everyone considered them a couple apart from themselves. The jibes, taunts and comments made these two sit down and take a momentous decision.
