PART 1
Loveleen Duggal was a certified tomboy. From her early years her parents were plagued by random neighbours and parents of classmates complaining about Loveleen beating up their children. Loveleen’s name was chosen by her mother Asha who had fervently wanted her daughter to be elegant, feminine and delicate. These were 3 qualities that Loveleen most definitely didn’t possess and more importantly did not even want to possess. Loveleen loved playing gully cricket and basketball, she was great at swimming and she was even learning karate. She was mostly spotted around the neighbourhood wearing scruffy jeans and sleeveless t shirts…she hated frocks and dresses dismissing them as “too complicated”. Loveleen was mostly shunned by other girls her age…teenage girls of her class were particularly vicious labelling her as “jhalli” and “pagli”. The jhalli in question never bothered about these snide remarks…she remain encased in her own private paradise…rarely bothering to take a reality check. Till the day Shekhar walked into her life.
